Karen MacLean - Secretary

I have lived in Drum for 24 years, during which time I actively served on local nursery and school committees while my children were growing up. Over the years, I have also been involved in organizing and supporting various local fundraising events. Professionally, I work for Highland Council, where I focus on securing grant funding bids and liaising with community associations, homeowners, tenants, council members, and Scottish Government representatives. Now semi-retired, I spend my spare time enjoying horse riding, taking walks with my dog, going on weekend trips in my campervan, and socializing with friends.

Gordon Findlay - Treasurer

Gordon’s career was in operations management where sectors included brewing and latterly hydrogen fuel cells. He has done 2 years VSO in Nepal and now runs a local B&B. A driver behind the Loch ness Hub, Gordon is also a Trustee of GURCA.

Julie Dell - Director

My day job is working as a 365 engineer focusing on SharePoint for a social housing company, where I combine my technical abilities with a dedication to social service. Additionally, I manage the administration for our various ventures, including the B&B and a video production company, ensuring that everything is well-organized and running smoothly.  As a volunteer director at the Loch Ness Hub, I utilize my technical, business, and hospitality skills to enhance our operations. I’ve been instrumental in upgrading our EPOS system, updating our website, and improving our retail products to better meet the needs of our visitors.

Jackie Hodgkinson - Director

I started my career as a litigation secretary but soon got very bored with that then I started to work at an electroplating and engineering company.  I worked there for 10 years when my brothers and I decided that we could start our own business doing the same thing.  We opened in 1988 and have grown since then to the current day.  I reduced my shareholding when my husband and I decided to “semi-retire” to this amazing part of the world and run a bed and breakfast, I work harder now than I ever did in engineering!!  I love working with the Hub and helping out in any way I can, spare time permitting.

Judi Crichton - Director

I live and have grown up in Glen Urquhart, I have strong ties to the community and am passionate about my local area.  Currently I work in the construction industry with my older brother in a family run business, where we are a local employer.  I feel my skills translate well to Loch Ness Hub & Travel as I am an avid cyclist and walker, my knowledge and appreciation of my local area combined with my experience in managing a small business allow me to meet the credentials I believe necessary to be a director.
